I arrived at Welham about 9.30 to see Craig already sat there reading his carpology mag

Anyway we took a walk around and noticed that the water levels were incredibly low so as Gaz had suggested we stuck to fishing the bottom end it wasn't long when woody arrived then Jimmy & Steve then everyone was there we did the draw and went to our pegs and got set up i was on peg 3 on the ...

Just got back from a very windy and wet 24hrs. Me and the brother in law were on pegs 1 and 2, the lake looked great as usual despite the low water levels and it was great to be back. It was very windy, gale force at times and wet so most of the time was spent sat in the bivvies. We managed only 2 but due to the conditions i was pleased to come away with somthing. hi,
just returned from my first session at wellham lakes.
yes the water levels are very low,yes its a great venue.
we struggled daytime for any bites but this changed over night,especially between 3 and 6 am,
carp came out from 8 to 17 lbs and all to a single boilie.
everyone of them produced a great fight and all looked in superb condition.
any tips for ...

Just got back from doing another overnighter with the kids on Welham and what a fantastic trip we had, not just the fishing but the whole experience.

We got set up on the dam wall and the lads helped Kelly collect some wood and build a fire. We then had some proper fishing food (Pot Noodles, Dog Rolls, Kit Kats and White choc cookies). Had a few recasts then sat round the fire sharp...
