I arrived at Welham about 9.30 to see Craig already sat there reading his carpology mag

Anyway we took a walk around and noticed that the water levels were incredibly low so as Gaz had suggested we stuck to fishing the bottom end it wasn't long when woody arrived then Jimmy & Steve then everyone was there we did the draw and went to our pegs and got set up i was on peg 3 on the dam wall and my method of attack was to use the method feeder

Well the day was long and we cracked open a few beers and chatted amongst ourselves and had a giggle it wasn't until around 9ish and i had a run well i was straight into it and unfortunately the fish swam right into steves line we both had to cut our lines as it was a complete mess anyway the fish weighed 11lb 4oz the night was slow and steve managed a fish too well morning came and the clouds were shifting and birds tweeting and i had a knock on my rod it was a slow knock only a couple of beeps i got out of bed and stood by my rod it went again and i struck into it the fish didn't feel all too heavy and i thought i'd hooked into a pike it was crashing out of the water like a pike tail walking as the fish came closer it really woke up and i found myself with a proper scrap on my hands i managed to land the fish and my initial thought was 17lbs i knew that it could have been slightly bigger but didn't want to say we weighed the fish and it tipped the scales at 22lb we took 3lb off for the weigh sling and i was stood with a new PB 19lb yes it is a pound shorter than my target fish but i was over the moon

and a few here for the [CENSORED] taking part of this thread yes it knocked the [CENSORED] out of me

Jimmy needed an early night so sadly didn't manage to get a rod out ........ ALL WEEKEND!!!!

The next Day we woke up had a cracking breakfast which Kellie cooked for us TOP MARKS LOVED IT!!! so did woody and craig

Later that day we (me and steve) went out in the boat to see how shallow it was the watder was really low we even got stuck in the silt

As we rowed past Ady's swim we kinda disturbed his swim :O0ps:

The others had fish but i'll let them tell there tail

Thanks to Gaz and everyone who came brilliant weekend !!!
