I spent two nights on peg 11 this week, Monday night i took my youngest Kyle who is 10 and on Tuesday night i took Josh who is 13. On Monday night Kyle managed 9 fish with his biggest been a personal best 16 pound. (wasnt happy with the scales i had so i got some new ones but 16 will be fairly accurate). On Tuesday night in not so good weather Josh managed 14 fish with his biggest been 14 pound. Had two cracking days and on behalf of the boys i would like to say thanks to Gaz for allowing them on the pound, not charging for the kids is a very generous offer and been a Dad of three budding carpers it is very much appreciated. I've put on a few pics of the kids enjoying themselves. Shame about the mouth on this one.

Weldone Dave, great to see the kids getting wll amongst them. Agreed shame about the mouth on that 5th picture, absolute disgrace, clearly an old wound tho, shame that people have to treat fish like that with such a lack of respect. And that 6th picture, the fish looks like it still has a hook in its top lip(unless its yours and I cant see the line) Great session by the looks of things.

well done Dave and kids and it goes without saying your very welcome i've just had a couple of days at the lake with friends and family we caught some lovely tench as well as carp and had a great time. Its good to see dads taking their kids fishing, its a great way of having one on one time. The response to the free fishing has been quite good, the one thing that shocks me though is that people are amazed when i say kids are free, I didn't realise that so many other places charged full price for kids.

Cheers Dan, what you dont see are the other 47 pics i had to take to get a good one.... To be fair they are pretty good and without promting they do seem to be more concerned with the fish's welfare. There was one and i dont mind admitting that he dropped on the mat and rather than trying again he wanted to get the fish back cause he felt bad. Not a good place to learn to hold a fish though i aint held a quiet one yet, sounds daft maybe but i reckon as you get the slightly bigger ones they dont seem to flap quite as much.
