New lake record today

Chris and Jamie from pickering had a 2 hour session on the lake this afternoon floater fishing
Here are 2 of their six fish haul
The longer of the 2 fish is 19.75lb and a new lake record, the other is 17lb
well done lads cheers

Its not herpes either,it had no marks on it. Very Happy

Shame it didn't go over the 20lb mark for you though...very close

Awsome fish mate, what u catch them on, how far out were u fishing and were u on the bottom? sorry for the 20 questions its just that im there next month with a few mates and one of them only float fishes and i thought he may have a few problems, however you have just ansered my worries!! Very Happy

tim,there not members of the forum, they were FLOATER fishing mate about 2 rod lengths out

After chatting to the lads,they said the fish they were catching had bigger bellies than what they had seen before (they've fished welham for years) this cements my theory that by getting better anglers on with good quality baits will improve the fish.
I think in a years time we will have something extra special here

Well done to the lads lovely looking fish them. . I tried getting em going with the floaters last week when i was on but they were having none of it.. Looks like there havin it now though.. And i agree about the place being special in a year or two if the fish keep loading the pounds on like these two.. Hey tim only three week to go now mate i cant wait.. Laughing

Ya not long now Daz, ive been to a cracking tackle shop in Halton and found some quality bait, i can see me self spending the a small fortune!!! Carl told me about ya 20lber today nice one mate. Have all u plasterers turned into professional carp anglers as its all u lot seem to do!! pig

new lake record caught last night at 22lb 8 oz
30 fish were out last night with this being the biggest cheers

no mate it was a lad on his first visit,fishing from the dam wall,kelly seems to think it was the same fish he had in february.
